''This paper reveals how the existence of wide
range of endangered species including mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles,
crustaceans, and above all the ‘Royal Bengal Tigers’ of the Sundarbans are
threatened by changes in the global climate. It
also discusses the nature of extreme climate events and their disastrous
effects on a large portion of mangrove forest and ecosystem of the Sundarbans.
The effect of the sea level rise on the Sundarbans is also examined.
